What's your inspiration?

Posted by Darkmaster603 - February 7th, 2009

Well, after thinking about what my inspiration was and why I make music, I was wondering why do YOU make music? Is it for a special someone, is it for yourself, is it because you're bored?

I make it because i like giving people gifts, in this case in the form of music. If you have talent, by all means, share it with the world.

Music has always been important to me, and when I had a chance to make my own music I thought: Hey, this might be fun. After getting some feedback for my music it seemed that I had some talent, and I agree with Owlsey that if you have talent, by all means, share it with the world. That's also probably why I will never sell my music, but share it for free. Money is after all the biggest reason why there are wars in the world (along with religion).

Hey, you never mentioned why you make music.

Well, It's going to sound gay, and emo, but I make my music for a girl. She is my inspiration, and she is the reason I started develop my musical theory. I can't make my music without thinking about her, and every time I think about her I make music. She is my ex now, but I still think about her all the time, and beauté classique in Ebm is actually about her (I would call her my "classical beauty").

It doesn't sound either gay or emo. It sounds more like hetero and um... sweet? Anyway, I don't think I've reviewed or even listened to your new stuff, so I'm gonna do that. Right now.

Well, a lot of my friend would kinda make fun of me if they knew lol, at least in a joking way. I'm not too proud of my newer stuff, and most are for a video game called Rising Legend, but hey, I hope you like it!

Kinda late... but I started making music for myself. Simply because I could, and I wanted the satisfaction of making something that had the potential to appeal to many more people than writing or visual stuff.

Then this girl came along. Sort of the same situation... I couldn't make a song about/for anyone but her. I tried as hard as I could to get myself to sound worthy of her ears, and eventually I shared my music with her.

I never asked her what she thought of it, but to this day I make nearly everything for her.

Cheesy, I know, but hey, she's amazing.

Same exact situation for me, except we aren't together anymore and had a nasty fight (me calling her a whore and a lot of other....equally bad things).

I still write about her though, and I know exactly what you are talking about.
